{Mallory + Tyler} April 2016.

Meet Mallory + Tyler.

I really don’t know where to even begin with this wedding. I guess I’ll start wayyyy back at my freshman year of college when I met Mallory. Mallory was a sophomore in our sorority, and I always remembered her as one of the most welcoming upperclassmen.

Fast forward two years later, and Mallory had met Tyler. He proposed to her on a trip back to Western Kentucky University, and they were to plan a wedding.

I knew I wanted to be a part of this day.

Not long after my freshman self met Mallory, she was diagnosed with with a solid pseudopapillary tumor in her pancreas. Within a couple of weeks, she had withdrew from Western.

Through social media posts, I watched Mallory struggle medically but grow by exponential amounts in her faith. I was, and still am, blown away by how trusting she is in our God.

Not only is her faith astounding, so are her family and friends. I knew when we started discussing the wedding plans that it was going to be SUCH a fun day. As I walked into her house the morning of her big day, her parents automatically welcomed me with open arms and got to know me. We laughed as her bridesmaids told childhood and college stories, and I knew that the ceremony was going to be so beautiful.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Tyler through WKU, but wow, he is so sweet to Mallory. Tyler is an accountant in Elizabethtown, and he has held Mallory’s hand through all of the struggles life threw her way.

I met him the first time at their engagement photos, and the way he looked at Mallory made my heart melt. He twirled her around and snuggled her tight.

It was obvious that they are enamored with each other.

I’m so honored to have been such a big part of their special day. Both Mallory and Tyler are exceptional people, and their love was so easy to capture.

An excerpt from Mallory’s blog about her wedding day:

My family & friends saw a part of me that hasn’t lived in years…. A spirit & special joy that I felt died with much of my physical body. Towards the end of the night my Mom asked me what I thought about the day. I confidently answered that this was my miracle day and there’s no way it could have possibly been any better EVEN if I was healthy.

That says absolutely everything.”
